Bow And Arrow Green Screen Red Balloons

carving olive wood - height 182 cm
"Deposition of Christ"
The sculpture is made from a trunk full of olive trees, properly seasoned. It is represented, dynamically, the deposition from the cross of Jesus represents the same time, in a particular form and the original, the "Pieta."

following pictures you can see some details of the sculpture, with an accurate definition of the entire group, which seems to hover from the base. The position of the legs of Christ and the soft twist of the body give the impression of a continuous dynamic that makes the work emotionally alive. (Click to enlarge)

The sculpture consists of several planes of movement and action:
- starting at the bottom you can see the body under examination of Jesus that bends,
pulled by ropes to be deposed;

- on the first floor you can see the mighty arms pull and loosen the ropes to lay gently
the body of Jesus;

- the same floor you can see Madonna in that attitude of supreme
"Pietà" and holds his hand to his head bowed
Jesus

- higher up you notice a pious woman who cries desperately, burying his face
with your hands;

- all harmoniously and dynamically powerful sculpture based on the toes of Jesus

The sculpture below is a crucifix, also in olive

Here are some of his sculpture in particular
